Hey everyone,
it's time for some updates in Valorant. Bind has finally returned, but with some significant changes that you might notice after being out of the Unrated and Competitive queues for a while. Let us know in the comments what you think of the changes.
Apart from that, there are some agent updates as well. We've updated some abilities to have or not have UI indicators in order to consolidate and make consistent our use of UI indicators throughout our roster. For example, the yellow indicator has been removed from Reyna's Leer (C), Killjoy's Alarmbot (E), and Chamber's Trademark (C). On the other hand, the critical danger indicator has been added to KAY/O's FRAG/ment (C).
Moving onto Sova, his Recon Bolt (E) has some updates. It will now correctly appear when playing with Bloom turned off, and the scanning VFX has been updated to be more visible as it travels through the world. Additionally, the model has been increased in size to more accurately represent its hitbox. However, this will not affect lineups, and the collision as it travels is unchanged.
Finally, let's talk about some map updates. Bind has undergone some major changes. The exit room for B Long to A Lobby teleporter has been moved to outside A Bath, while A Lobby, A Bath, and A Site have all been adjusted to accommodate the new teleporter location. Doorways from A Lobby into A Bath and from A Bath to A Site have been widened as well. Radianite crates on A Site have been adjusted, a barrel has been added, and the back wall on A Site has been adjusted too. In addition to that, the Defender Spawn to B Site doorway has been widened, and a utility window has been added to B Site into B Hall.
As far as player behavior updates are concerned, They have made improvements to interventions system for violations when it comes to player participation. They are increasing the amount of Ranked Rating loss for repeated ranked queue dodging, and They are introducing a 1 day-ranked restriction for people who frequently take part in excessive AFK behavior, sooner than previously introduced ranked restrictions.
They also fixed some bugs related to agents, gameplay systems, and social features. For example, projectiles will now reset their blue travel trail when teleporting, removing the line that connects from teleporter to teleporter. A bug where Agents are able to drop both primary and secondary weapons while planting or defusing the Spike has been fixed as well. Additionally, a bug in the minimap where teleport abilities can reveal an Agent’s out-of-sight minimap location when under packet loss has been fixed.
